Ah that makes sense. My Dad's company just laid off 10 people Thursday, they are an aerospace machine shop and do primarily defense stuff. I won't be surprised if they lay off more in coming weeks.

My opinion (and take it as you will)....they don't have near enough freight right now to keep all the drivers running all the time....As far as the equipment shortage goes..the driver they sent to pick our truck up had been waiting a little over a week to get a truck..his FM told him there were no empty trucks sitting anywhere. Seems kind of strange since there usually quite a few rows of empty trucks sitting at Marshfield. The hiring freeze until the end of the year was a bit of a shock...I don't ever remember them having to do that before.

I actually love the cold and snow. I am actually looking forward to going home for Christmas and being in the cold and seeing the ground white. Maybe get some ice fishing in while on home time.

The thing about ND and winter that sucks, is there is nothing to stop the wind which makes it that much worse. I was out in the oilfields earlier this week and it was ###### cold because of the wind.

I agree and have felt the same for a while now. The last couple times I've been at any terminal mainly but Marshfield I've seen new trucks ready to go or not decals put on yet. They do crank out alot of drivers, miles wise I do pretty good though. Who knows I'm sure a accumulation of things. Alot of employers especially in FL are not hiring that would for seasonal then maybe full time after the New Years comes aren't doing it which is strange.

At the pilot in Greenville, Va. Watching all the drivers struggle to park in these small spaces.

Snowing a little near Madison. Only a little, but first I've seen this year. Almost a slap in the face since I was running the I10/20 the last week+.

In Georgetown ky. Not delivering here just taken a 34 then off to Detroit to deliver. Got here only 1 Roehl truck and now there's a couple next to me. Figured that would happen.
