Roehl Driver Check In

I haven't heard from dispatch yet..but I will probably get an earfull tomorrow...I can only sleep so long..and the fact that I started my day at a weird time to make it to the shipper I wasn't able to sleep for awhile...I finally did get some sleep...but hey 16 hours you can only sleep so much so by the time I finally got movin the z monster was going to creep up on me...he finally hit me around South Carolina's southern border...I made it to I26 and down the road to a rest area when I said screw this I am a hazard if I keep pushing...so I shut down and z'd out for about 8 or so hours...now I am just waiting for my 10 to be up so I can get going again...

the funny part is I only have about a 30 minute cushion between my 70 and how long its going to take me to get there..so I maybe completely out of hours quickly til tuesday night...when I could have had a full 70 to use but weekend dispatch basically told me to get going to the pick up cause we can't have that load late...hell i could have had the 34 and then some by the time this thing was ready...but again it was night and weekend dispatch that screwed me...(what else is new)

 

Made it to Gary for the night enroute to Tomah, WI in the early morning.

 

This is what led me to start calling the customer more often. Getting stuck at a G&P because the load wasn't ready till the end of the window and would be pushing it. Weekend dispatch never wants to make a decision that could change schedules. They don't want to work harder then needed. Sorry some might but most no. Lol

 

I sat in Reform Al after getting loaded driving the. 48 miles to tucalossa al weighing and driving the. 48 miles back because I was 7k overgross from a Thursday at 445pm till Friday at 5pm, and didn't get my detention or the pay for the extra miles

 

That's an FM issue there. I would talk with you FM's supervisor and move up from there. They always added miles when I asked, tho not always as many as I felt were needed.

 

I am at the TA in Columbia, NJ. I have a little less than 70 miles to my delivery in Avenel, NJ in the morning. This was the closest truckstop so here I am. I watched the second half of the Giants debockle. Sorry to you Packer fans too. lol. The Chiefs?! Really?!

Started to watch the Jets but they were down 21-0 when I went back to my truck. Bad day for NY sports. lol. Oh well, time for netflix and dinner.
