I-55 xt51 in Mississippi. At least a bit warmer here. Gotta love these southern independent truck stops. Steak night special tonight. All you can eat steak with sides and banana pie. I am staying here tonight. 4 hrs from con for Thursday appt, I did let FM know tomorrow can deliver.

woulda got out this afternoon but needed permits for 53' in ID, pick up in the AM for Denver.

on the plus side, im well rested, that nasty cold that kicked my butt for 3 days is all but gone and i got an impromtu reset so i can run a bit harder than was going to be able to.

it'll be a learning day for this newbie, sounds like snow is coming tonight

I've been in Gary since Monday for orientation. I'm supposed to get my truck on Thursday, but there's already a 10 driver long wait/scramble for open trucks I hear, most supposedly running up to Marshfield to get into one... needless to say, I'm not going too hold my breath for actually getting my own wheels on Thurs.

 

Yeah seems as though the shortage of trucks is getting worse.



Oh and by the way, that whole mess on i77 with the gas line.. Yeah I got stuck in that detour. Half ####$ made detour I should say, they didnt even have signs up for the last turn so if you missed it like I did your going 40 miles extra. Ended up running 2 all the way down to i64. So I just shutdown at this TA... Tired and aggravated.
