Roehl Driver Check In

Heh, i might be put on that list than, My Fm talked to me today about home times and if i was getting enough miles. when i stated i plan my hometime around when my kids want me home. He seemed to understand.

 

the older two dont want me around the youngest wants me there 24 7 i cant win with him. But he is getting used to me being gone for weeks at a time.

 

At the Loves in Evergreen, AL. Delivered in Port Allen and drove over to GP in Zachary. Boy that was a long process at that place. Delivered in Gulfport, MS. I got a pre plan to pick up at GP in Brewton, AL going to Valparaiso, IN while I was in Zachary. Usually my FM catches it but I realized it after I delivered in Gulfport I didn't have the hours to deliver it on Weds. I told my FM. She said head there, get it picked up and she will figure out something. It ended up getting cancelled when I was about 15 miles from the shipper and was told to head to the nearest t/s. I get paid for the mt miles but it sucks because I don't get those hours back.

 

At the TA in Tuscaloosa, AL.

After 47 hours of waiting on a load I finally get one. Cherry wood out of linden, AL.

Tarped it and got a critical event from getting sideways in their yard. It was a huge field of mud with the consistency of KY jelly.



In the pic there is a driver who got stuck. Had to have a skidder push him up the hill. I locked in 4 wheel drive and put it 6th gear and just floored it. Got a critical event for "stability".

Sent my fm an email with the pic of the yard explaining why I got it. Asked if it would impact my performance for this quarter but didn't get a response.


Anyway, I'm at the ruby Tuesdays across from the TA. Wanted a steak and coconut shrimp.


Also, this load is going to Wisconsin. Delivers Thursday, I'm supposed to be home Friday. I'm not exactly happy but I'm hoping to get home before Monday or at the latest Monday.

 

I would trade loads with ya, mine delivers in indana thursday and iam due home friday or saterday.

 

Heck yeah man. I just gotta be home by Christmas. My brother is wanting me and our other brother to come spend the night at their new house like when we were kids. I just wanna be able to do that and see my niece and nephew again :/

 

Dam Driver!! 47 hours!! It sounds like you need to remind your FM you don't get paid to sit around.

 

shrug i dunno how to make it happen though. I pick it up in the morning and blast through pa wv and oh.

So probabley the logistics of my route might stand in the way.

 

Idk we might be in Illinois at the same time lol
