My love for Gary local drivers grow even more!! :)

Also if any of you have never seen a 47k pound coil before (DrtyDesiel). I have taken some photos for the curious folks that would like to know what it's like.

Gary securement differs from the way I would do it so I will only post my way. Maybe some of you trainers can correct me if I'm doing something wrong

    47k coil
    5 coil bunks
    2 pieces of wood
    1 friction mat
2 rubber pads for the wood corners
    4 3/8s chains
    8 metal edge protectors

4 snap binders (not the snaps the other kind we have I'm drawing a blank on the darn name)

4 straps over the top (i don't load suicide style)

    1 steel tarp
    25-35 bungees

That is all that can some to mind, might be missing one or two things but would never miss them in actually securing the coil. I take my securement very serious, I want to feel 100% safe of my securement so I know the people around me will have a safe trip home passing by me.

I know people load them suicide style, I just can't bring myself to do it. I think I can fit more securement in it the other way.

    Thanks for posting this, Lantern.

A reminder that if the chains go around only one trailer rubrail attachment point, the breaking strength for each is 5000 lb. Going around any two (cylindrical or rectangular [stake pocket]) points is 7000 lb. This is sometimes difficult to do with a large coil and shorter chains... Also as others have pointed out, ratchet binders are stronger than snap binders.

Ok tried logging on to site. Makes you have a password with !@& or something in it. This is going to sound OCD but I can make a strong password without using those. Now I'm annoyed and will not use the site out of spite for that requirement. Petty? Yep!

I couldn't use the last one, so haven't even considered trying the new one. Forgot all about and deleted those cluttering messages as soon as they came in.

I guess Team Roehl doesn't want me to be part of the team. It keeps telling me my current password is incorrect.
