This is why I'm not too upset over being sent home. Figured if I stayed out I'd be sitting in my truck waiting for Wednesday anyway.

Sorry about your luck on that one. Going to have to sit on it?

Well my fleet manager called me and offered me to turn my truck over to another driver in North Carolina that's coming off of medical leave. They'll get me a bus ticket home. So I might do that if I can find a duffel bag big enough for my clothes and such.

If they want to you turn truck over to another driver that far from home, then they should supply you with a rental car. When I left Roehl, one of the reasons was how they chose the oddest things to nickle and dime a driver over.

It's very true and I agree. They told me they'll pay for a bus ride or I can pay for a rental car and they'll put the amount they would have spent on a bus ticket, onto my last paycheck. I don't have but $130 to my name and only a $120 paycheck this week, so it's not looking good. I can turn it down which I might do. I don't feel like riding the bus

That's just NUTS!!!!! If you like riding a bus maybe... If it gets you home quicker I would think about it, but no other reason. It would be one thing if you were close to home at the time. Finish out till they get you there. Just some BS! They make the dumbest choices sometimes. When I hired on they paid for a hotel for two nights and a flight for my buddie to fly from Georgia to Dallas so he could get with a trainer. Just amazes me what they choose to do to drivers!
