Well I have to stay in Gary tonight and drive off the 260 miles in the morning. I have already been off duty for over 2 hours now so it is kind of pointless. They actually changed 2 tires. Shame on me for not catching both of them.

 

Oh yeah forgot to mention my FM gave me my one year safety plaque today. She has had for a month but I forgot to pick it up yesterday when I came through.

 

Dude I'm sore all over. We had 8 stops and unloaded over 2,000 cases by hand. Talk about finger printing your freight

so are you missing flatbed? I got to watch the overhead crane offload my 43k coil today.

 

But in all honesty i hope you like your new job and it all works out for ya.

 

14 hour day, 8 stops, about 160-200 cases per stop to unload, all by hand.

Made over $200 just in stop and unload pay on too of base pay, so I can't Complain.

Plus all the extra stuff we get paid for is pretty sweet. It's hard work, I can honestly say I earned every cent

 

I do like it, it's extremely physical. I felt great today though, even if I busted my butt in a cooler floor

 

The company I'm with (first one) started a dollar general account, sounded a lot like that.
