Absolutely they are covering it, I told them it didn't make sense to keep spending $80 a night for the several days on a room when they can get me home for less than the cost of two nights...they apparently agreed as I sit on this bus heading home.... BTW wifi on buses is awesome!

Sitting in Cadott, WI. my load outta California was a 2200 miler to WI. Nice run except for 2 hour delay at Donner, chains required on Thursday morning, then having to chain up on Friday at Parsley West of Salt Lake. Yes, I got away with Roehl's cheap "chains" and got up the mountain. (For those that don't know, Roehl doesn't buy chains, they buy the cheaper version to be legal. If you actually need to use them, CA won't let you, then they want you to sit and wait it out.). I did have two pairs on both drives to be sure. I did have a tnker blow by me with one set on. Saw him a mile later on the side, slipped off road and hit bridge embankment. Driver was out of truck looking at his tracks wondering WTF just happened. Driving like an idiot!
I will say, having 46k on and those cheap chains on, I almost didn't make it. 6th or 7th gear the whole way. I would slip in 6th if I gave it to much power.

Why did I do it some may ask? I asked highway patrol where to turn around. He said nearest place was 4 miles and you wouldn't make it. So chain up or tow up. I chained!

At the cons in Danville, KY. After I delivered in Tipp City, OH I went down to Wasau Paper in Middletown, OH and brought a load of those nice and heavy rolls of paper to their place here. I already got a pre plan to pick up in Lousiville and take it to Elk Grove Village for a 0500 delivery on Tuesdsy.

That would be me lol. Decide to take Saturday and Sunday off for a 34hr. Just had as much BS I could take, so my dumb decision will of course cost me money but truthfully worth it.

And why do drivers stay in Gary? Because its a place to park, get someway decent food around here, and BS with other drivers.

I don't really BS with other drivers but the others reasons is why i tend to stay here. Never has bothered me much. Train is annoying from time to time.

25 hrs is plenty for two days. You should get something back on the 8th day if you worked at all, if you didn't then that means you have 25 hours for 3 days and that does suck.

My stupid bunk heater won't stay on more than 5 minutes and is blowing a lot of exhaust when it does. Thankfully I brought a small fan heater out with me so I won't freeze.

Somewhere off 75 in tn x56 heading to Stevenson AL for tomorrow morning. Delivered to Kingsport TN this morning, plant was mega huge. Then to Morristown Tn for a heavy scrap load 45k n change. Some hole in the wall place, directions were so far off, I googled the company and got a number since Roehl doesn't have the brains to supply one. They did supply the worst directions that almost caused my trl and truck to roll. Also after u miss the turn in winds thru the mtns taking both lanes so the trl doesn't fall off one side or scrape the other. It didn't have a scale to weigh your empty or loaded so $20 in scale tickets for 200 mile load. Awesome. I will supply the new directions after I drop this load FYI
