Spending the night at my morning drop in Thibodaux, LA. Got an opportunity to get out and walk in this great weather. This is a beautiful little community in the swamp. Beautiful homes nicely landscaped. LA is normally a dirty scene, but this place must be lived in by foreigners :)

Got home yesterday morning. Had a hell of a time getting here. Dragged a trailer from Indiana with a slider frame that was twisting. Maint didn't decide to show interest until I showed them the axles were starting to shift on the trailer. Had to drop that trailer at Utility place, then went to lowes warehouse to pick up a empty to take home. Trailer lowes assigned me had sever brake problems. Had to get them fixed.

What makes me mad is these drivers KNOW that the trailer has these problems but still leave them for the next guy/gal? You cause me to lose money in lost miles because your more then willing to risk getting a ticket and csa points. Well congratz sir, I'm not risking my livelihood.

Hell my mile has been screwed lately to. I was avg 3000 a week. Now the 10 days I was out.. I got a total of 3000.... Apparently freight is slow right now is what my FM keeps telling me. They friggin had me sitting on a load to HEB for 4 DAYS for 1100 some odd miles. I was there the second day and my FM didn't tell me they changed the appt time on me.. Drove on new years that little 8pm - 6am rule apparently didn't apply to me and I tried so hard to make it apply. Oh well do what you got to do.

At home now after a wonderful weekend of Football!! Go BRONCOS!!

Talked to FM late Friday. I have a short haul preplan in the morning and then a 300+ miler after I drop that. I hope this is the beginning to getting more miles!

FYI from my experience in the manufacturing department...from christmas through january freight is slow due to inventory needing to be taken at warehouses...and retooling of equipment for manufacturing...it will pick up soon...I hope...
