Your going to laugh at what I use. Garmin street pilot c330. It was free, and I will upgrade someday. Maybe when it burns out, it does what I really use it for anyway. Just have other priorities for my money right now. I didn't even use one when I first started, so anything is an upgrade, no matter how old.goblue Thanks this.

Well that coffee load was to heavy for me to take. So picked it up, and dropped it at the yard in jacksonville. Officially done playing these games, bobtailing to Ellenwood tomorrow from the house just so I can get back under flatbed. No longer playing with dry vans. You guys can keep em'

It does help that we don't carry an extra 4 tons of securement crap on the truck you know.
-
I know man, I told them that I can't haul anything over 40-41k. They came up with 40.5k coffee load... Turns out to be 43k. Load before that was 42k.. Turned out to be 44k. They keep telling me well the load assignment says this weight. Oh well, no worries. Solving the problem by biting the bullet.
Also Bayle, I'm pretty positive your not cool enough for straps and chains. That a elite fleet to beat. -
Suppose I should actually check in. Rest area around mm180 EB I-76 PA.

First off, sounds like they are just giving the product weight, without adding pallets. Second, never been an S&M guy.
-
Yes they are giving just product weight.
And second, I think ya need to give it a whirl before dumping the dishes. -
Goblue, I'm still new at this, but went with the TND720 and REALLY like it. My trainer had a 5" Garmin and it worked fine. The 720 is truck specific and you can put in all of the info for your truck; wt, length, height. Gives you lane info and has a couple of things that are nice to have; set a speed threshold that will warn you of potential speed violations. I still use the atlas to verify and occasionally change the routing. Has at least gotten me into visual distance of destinations. Couple it with Google maps for the birds eye view and the mental picture for situational awareness. PM me if you want to take a look at it or ask some questions since we are in the same area. I don't live too far from the casino if it helps.
goblue Thanks this. -
Got pulled out by a driver two weeks ago and pulled another driver out. If I would have been stuck and had to get a tow and then they hit me with preventable incident. I would have quit on the spot! Under load or not.
Ok, done talking big... I would have been VERY upset and talked VERY LOUDLY on the phone!
Bayle Thanks this.
