80 w Indiana rolling prarie service plaza. 1430 delivery in eau Claire tomorrow. FM wanted me to make it to Gary tonight. Luckily allowed me to shut down here. I like the ease of waking up and rolling right into the highway. Plus much cleaner here. Couple other Roehl guys here too. Anyone from on here?

Amazingly I got a good spot at this P-Lot in Brazil, IN at 2030. I would have gotten into the area earlier but thanks to a 3 mile back up in 70 just reach that construction zone at mm11. Speaking of construction zone. So,tooday I am coming up 255 and I know they give you plenty of notice that the right 2 lanes are closed. So I am already in far left lane about a mile before they take away the first lane. Of course they are already a couple of people still in the middle. So I make a hole, they pull in and I focus on what going on in front of me because the middle lane is going away. Then I catch a flash of white in that little window at the bottom of the passenger door. I look in the mirror and there is a car almost running over the markers and getting, stuck. How did they think they were going to get past when the lane was already disappearing? I wonder how long they waited before somebody let them in.

Getting rocked awake by 30-50 mph winds at Speedway in Mojave, CA. And 4 hrs from now, I have to plow headlong into this breeze to deliver this tarped Felker pipe in Fresno. I bet I'll be hammer down just trying to maintain 40. At least I'm going home Monday!

I hate tarped Felker pipe loads! Those loads just don't make any sense to me. Did one during winter. Ice and snow everywhere. When I got to deliver it, they dropped it in snow outside. Ok, no road crap, but come on! LOL just like those steel loads that HAVE to be tarped yet they are rusty as hell and are stored outside.

I did one a few weeks ago from Glasgow to Houston. I guess it kept the bugs off, otherwise, bam, straight on the ground outside.

Also, you are all going to love the new hos and mandatory break. It comes at really inconvenient times. I hate it. Glad Im a beta tester. :/
Meltom Thanks this. -
It's going to change the way business is done.

can you explain in more detail...at least the basics? I heard something about elimination of the 34 hr. reset, or at least it is restricted...maybe meltom can describe.
-
Restricts the 34 to one every 168 hours and requires 2 periods of 0100 to 0500 for it to be a reset. As far as breaks go, each morning you start the day with an 8 hour clock that ticks down. If during that time you log 30 minutes in SB or OffDuty it restarts that 8 hour clock. Honestly its a hassle and its another thing to add to the list of things that make me not want to drive anymore. Sounds petty, but this stuff gets old.Bayle, bucksandducks, jeepnut_nh and 1 other person Thank this.
