kebo, are you the student I met in Philly at the university? The one who took the wrong turn for the interstate? ;)

And I've never hauled a Steel King load. My dispatcher told me to drop my trailer there and pick up an empty flat (I had a curtainside) at Steel King as if everyone knew where it was, so I must be the anomaly.

I live about a mile from Interstate 81 in WVA. am thinking about Roehl as well, do they hire from WVA and how long from start of cdl training to completion of training and where would closest training facility be. Any help appreciated.

I believe they do. School is three weeks. You take the road cdl test thursday of the third week. Take the written test at your home. They probably will send you to Marshfield, Wi for school. Ellenwood, Ga was suppose to start having training there but I'm not sure if it's up and running.

I have heard rumors that Roehl is in a hiring freeze, now, can that be confirmed? I am wondering, because I am registered to start training at Marshfield in March. From what I have seen here, Roehl seems to be a good company to be trained by and to work for. Any elaboration necessary on that? Also what questions should I be asking my recruiter (bethann)?

I'm thinking about going to Roehl too. I talked to Bethann on Thursday and I asked her about any hiring freeze and she said there is no freeze.

I asked my dispatcher in person a while ago and she said they were getting much pickier.

That's great news to hear. I spoke with BethAnn yesterday, money is the only slow point for me, as she says. Being picky will get them better candidates now and drivers in the future. Wish some of the big time driver mills were as picky.
