All right. Just so we all understand what the issue is,
If you qualify for a raise, and manage to get through all the hoops, I think you get a 1-cent/ mile raise. which, if you run 100,000 miles a year (Which we can pretty much agree, doesn't really happen at Roehl, you get $1,000 over the course of the year, which is around $84/ month, or..
$21 dollars a week.
Now, if memory serves, there's about a 5 cent/ mile gap for allowing for raises. at which point, you're at the top-end, and there's no more hope. But, you get (at the over-shot average) an extra $105/ week, or $5k annually, you also get the ability to come here and tell everyone that you make more than everyone else because you rule, and they suck, if they didn't suck, they'd rule like you do. You would also likely start interjecting various safe-seven quotes into everyday conversation, maybe even as a salutation.
as far as bonuses go, the DRG points out "It's *our* money, and we give it to drivers that drive the way we want them to drive. We do not give money to drivers who do not drive the way we want them to drive. It is not that we are punishing those who do not drive the way we want them to drive, it's that we are rewarding those who do drive the way we want them to drive."
That, is a carrot on a stick.
A company cannot tell you want you're worth, only what they're willing to pay you. What you're worth, is up to you. -
Just this pass year. I still got my raises even with my mpg at a 6.4 and 5.9 in winter and averaged 3100 miles a week. Honestly I wasnt making enough for being gone all the time and I had enough experience to lease onto a local company with my own semi. Im now home every night and work 8am to 4pm, I drive about 140 miles and take home about 400 after fuel every day. Roehl dont pay that much but its still not that bad for starting out in this career.

No. Preacher Man is an owner/operator. Relax dude. You won't find a better place to start than Roehl.
-
Ok Ok, I mis-understood it!!!
Thank you for clearing that up. -
Yeah, and you have to buy all the fuel too...

easy now we dont want to scare this guy off, but we do make up for the costs by offering free showers and laundry at our terminals.
