I just talked to a Roehl driver who just made the switch to O/O about a month ago and seems happy. He brought his own tractor to the dance which seems to be the way to go if you can swing it. He gets big miles, home when he wants, but pays for his own insurance, witholding taxes P.M.s , and repairs. I went through school with him and think highly of his opinion (no B.S.). He says Roehl has 1st years use an accounting firm that does O/O and they figure your weekly break even point using all your expences for the truck and home. His is about 1500 miles per week, before he puts money in his pocket for salary/profit.He has an 06 truck with about 400,000 on it. One problem with buying your own truck is financing. Most banks won't go near a truck loan. Anyone have any experince in this ares?
Roehl lease program?

Wow good luck to you. Did Arrow require a large down payment? -

So far I can't complain. There has been some good things and some hiccups. All in all I'm glad I took the plunge, however. I took the truck into the shop last week and found out some info I really didn't wanna hear but I hope it goes well. -
$4000 total down and the good part is all those escrows with Roehl do not exist if you bring a truck. The only escrow is 1000.00 which is no big deal . -
Arrow is owned by Volvo and they do thier own financing thru Volvo. The rates are very competitive. Check them out on line.

Thanks ETCH I will. You may want to consider the maintence escrow as it covers things like tires fuel pumps ect. that are not part of many gaurantees.

I am gonna start a bank account just for the truck and have my pay direct deposited into that account. Then I will pay myself a salary everyweek. This way I can raise funds very quickly for the truck upkeep, taxes and all other things. I figure I am gonna pay myself 500.00 a week and the rest to the truck account. That way my wife can have a set amount to budget into our household budget. If I am strict on following the budgets of both I should be able to save quite abit. I took Dave Ramseys financial classes and have become very frugal with money.

Dave is awesome. His classes should be taught in school.
