I am currently interested in driving for Roehl. I was told by a recuriter they offer 7 days on 7 off and starting pay for that was about 31k a year. Has anyone done this or heard of this. Is this promised and then not delivered? Roehl seems to be the best company I have found to this date.I have a good marriage and I have to keep mama happy (for everyone married you understand) so I need the most reliable home time I can get. I am new to this industry and I will be starting school soon. Thanks for any information. God Bless!! :biggrin_25525:

You will get 31k if your lucky. Roehl will get you home though. You slip seat with another driver. So they need to get the truck back so they can run there 7 days. the 7/7 is part time truck driving though. You'll get 2800 to 3000 miles a 7 day trip most times. So if you can live off of $650 every 2 weeks after taxes... I'd skip the insurance too or you'll owe them money.

Another thing about the 7/7 and 7-4/7-3 is that they require u to live within 100 miles of a terminal or drop yard and it is the luck of the draw kind of so to speak as there needs to be 2 drivers ( for 7/7 ) and 3 drivers (for 7/4-7/3) that are within the same 100 mile radius:biggrin_2552:.
I never did those hometime runs, but they do get you home when you are supposed to, however, you better plan on staying out for at least 2 weeks:biggrin_25510:, and on top of that, if you are just starting out I think you have to wait 6 months before that hometime stuff is offered-could be wrong about that though.

Just a quick FYI - Some experienced drivers need to go through a short training stint to verify skills. It depends, to some degree what type of experience you have. If you have OTR experience and have used a qualcomm or similar device - you can probably just attend orientation and then launch into a truck.
