I waited almost 2 months to go to orientation with Roehl, a long time but I know now that it is worth the wait. I just got back from Marshfield for my orientation last thursday, 4 days $250. The guy who was running it told us about the longer orientation but I didnt know it was gonna happen this quick. Good luck to everyone headed out to Orientation with Roehl everything that I have seen so far says this is the best company to start with.

Hopeing not to have quite that long of a wait to get an orientation scheduled. If it takes some time so be it.
And I think your right it certainly seems to be a good place to start. -
It is a good place to get your start. Good luck and be safe.

So the guy from driver resources called me 2 times today, he is trying to get me to go to USA Truck. He doesn't want to understand that I'm not impressed with their saf stats, or what people say about them. Guess I will have to stop answering his calls, I just don't like being pushed lol.
Plus the fact I have already told them I am going with Roehl, have just tried not to be rude to him but may need to in order for him to understand.
If he wanted me at USA he should have got me cdl training 8 months ago when I tried to get it through them. Can't figure out why I wasn't good enough for him then, but now I've got my cdl school myself he wants to be my best bud, lol. -
They will drive you crazy, if you let them. Just tell him that you have already hired on with a company, and if it doesn't work out you will call him then, but please leave me alone. Training companies are really picking up the hiring right now in preperation for frieght volumes comming back this year. I hope things do get better, but right now people get hired, and then don't have much to do. Companies are trying to spread around the few miles they have, and drivers are getting upset. Pick a company and stay, if things are still bad after a year, then make a move, but you need to stay with a company for an entire year, get some experience and then weigh your options. Good luck.

Spoke with recruiter again yesturday, all is good except need 2010 taxes. My accountant is away for a week, so gonna have to have the recruiter send the "gap paperwork". Then hopefully can get it taken care of without waiting on the accountant, lol. (How dare he go away on the week I need him for something,LOL.)

Hey mcarpe why do you need your 2010 taxes?
-
If he was self-employed at all, that would be one explanation for that.

Lilbit has it right. I have self employment, so they need proof of income. I have it all taken care of tho, will be sending it tomorrow.

mcarpe,
I am wishing you the best of luck with Roehl. I see you are from Corning (i have family there) and was wondering what division you planned on going to; Van or Flat. Also, when you go to orientation, bring plenty of Anelios pizza with you.
KHmp75 Thanks this.
