Thanks t Trucker, I have also heard that about swift although I have heard Knight is improving. Only reason i would consider Swift is they haul for a wal mart distribution center close to here and are home most days, just low pay and long hours. Roehl has always been at the top of the list with Averitt and Schneider coming in second, they both have opportunities close to here as well. Will just be watching and waiting until my time comes a year from today, looking forward to the change.

I'm at the Roehl Driver Training Center right now, looking to hire on with them next Friday (assuming all goes well with my CDL test on Wed.) I'm a vet and planning on joining the Honor Program, so I was wondering what did you mean by anti-vet moves?
-
Roehl's school is $2800 +$185 testing fee which I've been told is a real bargain. Also, while the intent of the school is to get you to drive for them, nothing says you have to sign the contract on your last day, you still get your CDL. Finally as a current student, my test is next Wed. and I feel adequately prepared to pass it tomorrow if I could get them to go for it. Good and thorough trainers, lots of on the road time.

-
yes, im in the northeast regional fleet the last couple months, averaging right near $800 take home/week, national van started good but had tapered off to the $600ish take home range so I switched.
keep in mind that once in a while you will have a crappy week, shippers/recievers hold ya up, stuff like that can throw a wrench in things...Jrivas23 Thanks this. -
