Thanks for the expert opinion LOL J/K but all opinions are OK.. I know what I have heard (the same you have probably) that's why I hope to hear from drivers that work for ROEHL... not from other companies... One thing I have learned from other experts that do drive for Roehl is that Roehl is not the same as other companies in several ways..

After that experience, I can say that I prefer the dry vans. The reefers are a pain to sweep out because they have ridges in the floors, and half the time you have to use a hose and clean the trailer out with water for the next customer. In addition, with reefer customers you have to deal with a lot more lumpers, and they are notorious for keeping you waiting for literally hours as they get you unloaded. Finally, you only get paid an extra cent per mile on the reefer fleet, so for me it just isn't worth it.
That's my two cents. Hope that helps. Good luck!Nightwind8830, SmokinBoles and Newbomb Turk Thank this. -

Do you experienced (2 or more years) ROEHL drivers double clutch after you completed your training?? Respond by "notification messages" if you would rather not on forum. I've heard there are sensors on board? On clutch pedal?

And when I hear companies say they pay for transportation to the training facility, I never know if they're talking about a van from the hotel to the classroom, or hopping aboard one of their trucks to make your way to their state from anywhere in the country for training. Now THAT would be a nice perk.
Anyone know if this company could keep someone west of the Mississippi all the time if that's what a driver wanted? I hear negative stories about driving in the midwest and east all the time....slower traffic, bad weather, etc. I just don't see how anyone makes as much money per hour, compared to something like Atlanta to L.A., since the roads aren't as straight or as dry, especially in the winter. -
Of the 15 company training programs reviewed at this website, this one received the highest praise from the site's webmaster. It's the only school about which he said,
"If I were choosing a trucking company today, Roehl would receive very serious considerations from me."
(Kinda makes it sound like the other's wouldn't even receive his serious consideration.)

Since I can't get referral fees, I should get free training for finding this and posting it here, sending them countless drivers now who will read this discussion board.
See, I'm doing my homework. You're welcome. Now throw money. -
That was from Brett. Another great trucking site.
