    But let's tell the rest of the story here too. One driver (newbie) may be operating in an area where freight is flush right now and the other (old timer) may not. I can't count the number of times where I've run like crazy for a time, moved into another area and had to sit for 2-3 hours between loads.... Even when I've been told freight is slow, I'm still able to scan 2200 or better.

    Don't lose sight of the fact that it's all a game of averages.... At the end of the year, I still find that I've averaged over 2300 miles a week or better consitantly over the last several years. It doesn't help when you have a string of slow weeks, no, but for me, it averages out.
