It's called the "Honor program". They give you decal for your truck, (if and when you get one) and they will offer you a salary for 2 years. I was approved, I just had to send them a copy of my DD214. I think I'll go with the miles though, I have time to give it thought.

    bowmeyer1 Thanks this.

Spoke to the Roehl recuriter yesterday and he told me they upped the HP pay scale. Here's the rounded off #'s, Trining $80 for every day you work or are availible to work. Once your on your own it's $120 van and $150 per day flatbed. Now I cant recall but I think he told me you still recieve Canada and NYC pay, dont hold me to this, but I think thats what he said. He's sending me all the paperwork so I'll clear it up if Im wrong. No tarp pay on the HP, thats OK.

I start EVO1 on the 27th. You dont get NY or Canada pay on HP. since I think its set by mileage. Im in the new HP pay system starting 5 Jan. Cant beat a guaranteed paycheck while learning the first 2 years. You can always switch to Mileage if you see your doing well enough in miles. Contrary to popular belief the planners and DSRs dont know who is HP or not so they DONT send more frieght to the salary guys. If u dont work 4 hours in a day u only get half pay. But on duty over 4 and you get paid for the full day... you also get a sticker for your tractor that shows what service you were in. And a sticker for your car, a patch for your jacket, roehl hat, I also boughta stocking cap and the camo ball cap after graduation. Now I have a stack of homework to do b4 the trainer picks me up. You have to drive at least 250 miles a day in evo 1 and in evo 2 the trainer takes the passenger role and helps you while scoring u. Once you finish EVO 2 you have ANOTHER road test, written, trip planning and logging exercises along with skid training and close quarters driving. The truck stop pull through training was intense, you would never think the trailer will get in there.... remember to keep the morror 10 inches from their trailer....rolling forward... lol... awesome instructors at RDTC... the actual road test was easy... I knew how to drive at that point.... when I started if they told me I would do that I woulda drove like that I woulda called him a liar

Thanks for all the info. I am curently AD Coast Guard and can retire in 2 1/2 years. This is the company I want to work for. I like the sound of the HP program. Keep us informed on the salary pay. Good luck to you, and keep it between the navigational markers.
