Marshfield. It had it's ups and downs, then we moved. That was nice. Went back to visit a few times, people change but the place stays the same.

That is great. I have applied with this company along with two other choices. This website has taught me to research companies before i join them. I didnt do this with Swift. Now i am leaving this company once i found out whats going from the inside. I hope this works out for me. Really looking forward to joining a decent company.

Hey Brian, I've noticed a few of your posts and was wondering how your job quest was going? Not sure, but I get the gist you might be pencilled in for the orientation class starting May 20, same as me! Small world, huh? Did you get your DOT medical and all 6 parts of your CDL-A done without any problems? Let me know how it all goes, OK.

ME, I already had a medical card. Got it before I started my driver training class, and got the 3 writtens done third day of class. (first two days were review of the DMV book for the writtens). Graduated April the 16th, got my pretrip and skills tests done the 18th. Had to reschedule my road trip test for MAY 17th, and got my medical done again on the 19th (by Roehl approved Dr). Looking forward to meeting you on the 20th of next month.

    Aze I Are,

I just got accepted yesterday and assigned a class starting date of May 13th. I did my Roehl DOT physical this past wednesday and everything was good on that. As far as my CDL-A, I had that already, I drove from 2000 to 2003 OTR, I kept my CDL over the years just in case, and I'm happy I did as now I don't have to go through the DMV test, just Roehl's test, which probably is more thorough than DMV's. As far as endorsement, I have the Doubles/Triples and Tanker. I did have the Hazmat, but it expired, so I had to take the hazmat test as I have not taken it for some years, but I got that out of the way as well as my finger printing, just waiting for the background investigation to be completed. DMV said it should about 4-6 weeks for the Hazmat investigation, then I will get a new license with the endorsement mailed to me. I also got the enhanced drivers license so I don't have to drag out my Passport each time going into and out of Canada.

This week coming up I have an appointment for my TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) card application. I don't need it for dry vans with Roehl, but I think the card is needed if you run flat beds, not planning on that right now, but at least I'll have the card in case I need it.

I've been readying myself for the Roehl "Pre-Work Screening", going to the gym each day for a light work out, the screening is conducted on the morning of the first day. Here's the link to what a person needs to do: http://www.goroehl.com/downloads/rdtc/PWS Van Pictorial.pdf

Well, I guess I'll see you around the campus or hotel on the 19th or 20th...Let me know if you have any questions or if you think of anything that would be helpful for me.

Update on Hazmat: DMV told me that the Hazmat Background Investigation would take 4-6 weeks, I pulled my DMV Abstract this morning and the Hazmat post on my DMV record after 1 week and 1 day. So I'm good on that, just waiting for the Enhanced driver's license to come in the mail.

Aze I Are, well I hope I get good loads, but I don't expect too much at the beginning as I'll be the new kid on the block as they say.

Just counting the days until getting to Marshfield, see you guys there...
