I've got a f250 17700 GVWR and I am looking for a 20 foot trailer with the intent on upgrading the size of containers and truck in the future. My question is what is a 20cy typical weight? I get there are highs and lows but am concerned about hauling to much for my truck.

How could a 250 have a weight that high, sure you don’t mean gcwr, that’s gross combined weight rating, my 2012 Silverado single rear wheel is around 14,000 gcwr, that’s truck, trailer, and load.

googe says between 4 and 6k pounds. That varies becuase of the thickness of steel you decide to go with

I'm sure it's an awesome truck, just google 1997 ford f250 gvwr which is gross vehicle weight rating; it's 8800 lbs. The fact that you haul more has nothing to do with what it's rated for. Gross combination weight rating is, gcwr, since he is looking for a 20 foot trailer. That's truck, trailer, roll off box, plus whatever is in the box. I drive a roll off for Republic, what your planning is ill advised. Good luck
