Had a rollover in 2007 that kept me from working any where major for about three years.
Took a six month container hauling gig with one of those low-ball, indie-outfits that gave me some experience to use when getting on with Western Express in 2010.
Apart from a self-imposed exile for six months in 2012, I've been pretty much driving continuously since the Western Express job.
Only thing I would say that the now eight year old rollover is doing is keeping me from getting a fuel hauling gig.

As I understand it, in the container and dump bucket world, it's not a matter of IF you will lay her over but WHEN. I've talked to one or two dump bucket drivers who've rolled'em over sitting still. Ain't hard when you're not sitting perfectly level when that bucket starts going up and a stiff breeze starts blowing, from what I understand.

I haven't "rolled" but I have had a side dump on its side a few times. Tractor only at a 45* frozen limestone seems to like to stick. Lol

Yea i have the same issue i rolled a truck because the drive axle shackle broke

If you're fired I would think it depends on the rollover. I haul gasoline and when someone rolls a tanker there's usually a spill that will cost the company so that's driver is gone. Luckily we have very few and it's most likely with the new drivers if no one else is involved. The last time my company had a rollover the driver swerved to miss a family that was stopped in the right lane. Over he went and it killed him.
We did have one for the books at a different company. A driver was fully loaded and going to Kingman AZ where he came out of the hills just south of the dam. This was before the by-pass. His trailer went off the road and came back on to flip him over. He rolled the truck but what was weird is he did a 360 with the truck. Yes the truck was on the drivers door then flip again and was upside down flip again to slide of the passenger door and then back over again to stand upright. The only thing that happen to the driver was he dislocated his shoulder. He got back to the terminal and none of us have seen him since. Of course he was fired. -
Just curious did you ever haul gas in New Jersey or just out west?

It is truly amazing to see the results of some crashes. The "how the hell DID he do that," is something that you never quite get used to, as a first responder. Of course unless you're the investigating copper, you're likely too dog gone busy to ever actually find out.

I rolled a truck back in march. The TX DOT said in the report that it was 100% the old guy in the other vehicles fault. I was driving along in the right lane when I saw a Uhaul on the shoulder. I tried to move over but couldn't. The idiot pulled of the shoulder right into my lane. The report says I was going about 65 when I hit him. I don't remember any of it.
Anyway stuff happens. I use to think I could never roll a truck because I was really good at what I did. But I guess being knocked out from the impact can cause you to roll a truck really fast. -
Sorry out west only. I do live in southern NJ but not driving, really doing nothing. -
Oh ok just curious. I drive by that huge Bayway refinery in Linden every day and see the trucks going into fuel rack to get loaded. I've thought about getting out of box pulling and jumping into something like that before.
