I'm from Chatt also. I know a guy that runs a small fleet that might hire you. The pay isn't great, no benefits, and he will expect you to be on call to take a load 24/7 (He runs expedited auto parts out of a parts manufacturer here in Chattanooga). All out and back runs, mostly going to BMW in Spartanburg SC or Mercedes-Benz in Tuscaloosa AL and broker loads coming back. Paper logs (at least for now) and 75 mph trucks. If you are interested, I will PM you the guys contact info.

Try @8thnote suggestion; seems a good one.
Here's some more and I suggest doing the online application before a phone call. Then call and say, "I'm checking on my job application."
