I saw the aftermath of something similar, but worse.
Madison, TN a hot asphalt truck turned the corner too fast at a 4-way traffic light. The hot asphalt poured out and filled a car and baked to death a Mother and young son.

My baloney has a 1st name, it's always the brakes. I don't know, looks like skid marks to me. "Brake failure", like the mystery 4 wheelers or deer, if brakes fail, they apply, not no brakes at all, so that is bunk, and I've hauled fill, 10 to 1 they were overweight.

If spring brakes apply skid marks. That is why they used to be called “emergency” brakes. Nowadays they are taught to be just for parking. Threadle valves go bad and you have no control at the foot. Hit the peddle and nothing with full air in system. Many brake failures are this. There have been many. No one is taught to pull the knobs out in an emergency because the fail safes are supposed to do it for you. BUT pressure has to be lost for them to work. Pressure is not always lost in these situations.

One of the nice things about the pre-121 brake systems was the Johnson bar was generally plumbed separate from the foot valves so trailer could be operated without exhausting air thru the tractor. Great in emergency. Lock that trailer up. New systems have them tee’d in to same supply line

That black mark is where the tread was rolled under and the sidewall is painting a line. Next offramp you go around, look to see if you can see narrower versions of that mark around the curve, where drivers are on the verge of a rollover. I see them all the time.
