I just want to jump in on this. Mods if you feel this is inappropriate please delete. I don't normally air out the laundry but I feel that I am obligated to defend our honor here. I am the owner of Romerica Express. Tatman made $1625 on 1925 miles his first full week (he only had one) with us. Thats .84CPM for every mile he drove. AND sat in the truck stop for a 34. Imagine if it wasn't a slow time of year what he could have made! I would be willing to share his settlement details via DM with anyone who cares to see to show the facts of the matter. Tatman was also informed prehire and during orientation (as all drivers are) that he would be out 2 weeks at a time. If he wanted to be home weekends, why even sign on? Did he mention that he started with us knowing in a few weeks he was going to be starting heavy equipment school? He had no intention of staying. Looking for a paycheck until school started. It costs $1000-$1500 to bring a new driver onboard. Why bother? Guys like this give honest companies like mine a bad name. He has posts all over the internet bashing trucking companies left and right, just like he's trying to do here. As far as taxes, we take out what the law at the Federal, State, and Local levels require. This is all done through the largest 3rd party payroll processor in America, so I think it would be safe to say that they probably know what they are doing and we are doing what is required by law and nothing more.
