Been solo OTR company driver since Dec '13. Definitely has good and bad days but overall I like it. Not scared to say i get intimidated over some of the HUGE responsibilities a driver has to deal with some days. People cant even begin to understand what professional drivers REALLY do everyday. I didnt before but i do now. I appreciate all of you veteran drivers out there posting useful and informative threads ( you know who you are) and ive talked face to face with a few in my travels. I know the profession has not gotten easier for the majority of you but what do you do? You just keep on truckin cause its what you know and what you do best. Anyway im proud to be a driver now and hope i someday gain the same type of wisdom that comes with the experience of a true seasoned professional. Good luck all and safe travels!!!
