    Imagine that lol
Should be good experience then, if you stick with local companies you won't have to worry about most of the stupid technicalities and policies you find with megas.

Exactly man those policies are stupid. As long as it is a tractor trailer combination it shouldn't matter.

The mega-crap companies want fresh un-experienced meat in the seat that way they can pull there flavor of trucking BS over on those guys.

If a driver knows how much better a job can be in trucking outside of those companies, they have no chance of ############ them on how life should be. - No chicken feed pay. No work for free. No wait for freight. No live in a truck. No BS safety class. No crappy dispatcher.

You got a local end dump job, take it. Even if it pays minimum wage it is better then what these mega's pay. They don't count it but others do.

Also, most companies want to ensure you can run a tractor trailer through different environments. Mountains, flat lands etc in multiple conditions like snow, rain, ice, etc. Only way to do that is OTR. The mountains in the west are a whole different monster then those in the east and south. As is the weather. It's good to be versatile and get the OTR experience of not for potential future employers, then for you to get better versed at your craft.

Who can live on minimum wage??? And even at Swift, you'll make around $30,000 your first year. That's a lot more then minimum wage. My first year (not at a mega, but a starter company), I made $46,000.
