I always tried to go to shipper with full tanks. I never had an issue. Learn the tandom requirements for the various states you are traveling. A Rand McNally road atlas will give you that info and more. I didn't run across loads where I had to worry about burning fuel before a scale.

thats what I mean? it is a time waster to have to go back to the shipper.....i dont get it how the shipper should have the load ready to go at the proper weight so u dont lose time and be late to the reciever, lose time and money...it puzzles me, lol

Part of business, it happens. Yes it sucks. All you can do is go back to the and get it corrected. Some employers pay you, most don't.

I hope not! Learn to use a map please for the love of god learn to use a map and road signs. My first year all I had was a cheap old cell phone and a road atlas. I feel it made me pay attention to every sign I passed instead of following a purple line.

I take lots of fruit and low cal snacks to get me between stops. Apples, bananas, and oranges will keep just fine without a fridge. Nuts are great snacks some are a lil fattening but it only takes a handful and provides good energy. Just try to stay away from fast food, candy and pop. Fast food can be tempting when your on the run but look for the healthiest items and avoid fries. All truckers should take a good multi vitamin. The one I take is from "Biotics Research -pro multi plus" they have a web site.

I'm at home. Haven't been OTR in a few years. The itch is coming back. Might be back by the end of the year.
