I found out that recruiters that WORK for the company at the company office tend to be honest and not BS etc. I applied to over 10 companies to keep options open. One company must have 100's of recruiters from all over the country. I still get emails saying CONGRATS etc from several different recruiters from same company. One recruiter said she works from home etc. I then called my favorite places back and asked each recruiter if they work for the company and where their office was.

I would like to know what other companies are "good" from recruiters to training if anyone has first hand experience that would be great. So far I can say Roehl and Maverick are very good to deal with. Love to build a list for future.

Also, anyone that needs to buy or sell a home and PM's me through here I will donate my share of the commission to the charity of your choice in your name. Win win and maybe the next time you buy or sell I can make a little. Paying it forward up front.

Your not going to meet a road trainer until they come they come to get you. You will get to talk to them on the phone before they show up to get you. For the most part, after a few hours on the interstate the trainer will be in the bunk sleeping or attempting to. When packing a good idea is to see if you can sleep with your stuff on a twin size bed. When you are both able to sleep ( at a pickup or delivery ), you will be in the top bunk with all of your stuff. The top bunk is a few inches narrower than a twin bed too. I had one guy try to bring 2 huge suitcases, a duffle bag, a months worth of dry food, sleeping bag 2 pillows, cb, laptop. He was also a very heavy guy. Took him 5 trips to lug all his #### out of the room. I couldn't help but laugh. He didn't end up on my truck.

So i wont get to meet any of the trainers coming in and out of the terminal while im in class? Lol wow, he was moving into the truck, too much stuff. So is a sleeping bag better than bedding sheets and a pillow??? True, i slept on the top bunk when i went to florida. I forgot to mention that i drove that big rig for almost 300 miles west of the border of florida, it was a ruff truck, detroit engine.

I just found out for sure that when we go out with our trainer for the up to 13 days OTR we get paid $90 per day and the trainer is shotgun. In the seat next to you while you drive 6 hours min then he can drive some if needed but not in the bunk at all. No TEAM style training here. They want the trainer to sit and train 6 hours a day for up 13 days then you go back to take your CDL in WI.
