Yes. U haft look at it this way.

There are more things out here stacked against u than for u right now. This country is a completely different animal than when I began....attitudes, laws, more traffic, god knows how many agendas, influx of cultures, CSA, etc etc.

But u can make it...be patient with yourself, you'll do fine.

I'm trying to get as much information as I can read on driving tankers. Trying to get on with a company now. Don't like dry van at all. All the threads seem to be old except 1 guy going through training now. More interested in the driving skills, terminology, and backing (how much and how tight?)

Sounds exciting. How does it feel being on the road for long weeks? Is driving a tractor trailer as intimidating as it looks?

I love being on the road, downside is like everyone else, traffic and tight spaces seem to get smaller the closer you get. So far I have been very lucky with no snow, and no DOT harassment.

Well there's one thing about tankers I know.

They drive way way too fast in downtowns. In Detroit where I'm from there's one ramp that u must do 25mph or u will flip...and doggonnit, about every third week there's a tanker that didn't make it n shuts down i75 for a few days.

At first I was going for the class B but decided to might as well go for A and it covers everything. Trying to get every endorsement in the book...tanker, passenger, school etc etc haha.
