    Back to the topic of the OP...

    Here's a tip for general courtesy, if there are drivers waiting for you to get in the hole...

    ...then GET IN THE HOLE. It doesn't have to be perfect, just get it in there cleanly. Now turn off your 4-ways, that's a definite signal you are done. That allows drivers to get on by, especially in situations where the only way in or out of the fuel islands is to run a gauntlet of trucks trying to park.

    Now, AFTER the coast is clear, put on your 4-ways and pull out to make your corrections to be straight and centered. Don't be a Richard and continue pulling out repeatedly, holding up traffic, while you get it perfect. Get the #### out of the way and let other drivers through.
