I got a new truck (2019 579) and it has what they call a "12 step automatic"... Not automated but an actual automatic that has a torque converter! It has something called "urge to move" which can be aborted but what that means is if I let up a little on the brake pedal...It moves creepy slow by itself... So cool! The other thing I found that was creepy is that if I set the trailer brake and keep the tractor brake released... The dam back up alarm goes off every time I open the door! Discovered this right away being an end dump hauler...heh heh. I sometimes set it that way when I park because it idles longer thinking it's about to dump...LOL. But! if I open the door at night to visit the truck stop... BEEP BEEP BEEP....LMAO.

I've always been lucky with parking spots, I can get a straight in angle, or almost straight in, almost every time... Helps that I only have a 39 foot trailer :)

Those Beep beep boxes have been deliberately designed to penetrate my hearing where it hurts.

Ive half tempted to take a pair of wire cutters to them. SNIP SNIP. Silence the thing. It's getting to where I must redirect my aggression against those things.

When backing with an autoshift use both feet. Pretend the brake is a clutch and when you reach the rpm threshold of the tranny engaging start to slip/release the brake the same way you would a clutch. Keeps it from jumping.

But not so much as to cause the frame from the fuel tanks to the axles to hop. That bounce is not good for anyone.

It's not their fault. Schools train them to set up for a 90 degree back.

That was me, sorry about that. I was swatting at a wasp inside the cab and texting someone. Had to air up the seat to steer with my knees.
