Rough idle and shaking

kinda sounds like my c15 just before the big bang

 

Big injectors with the Low Idle RPM set at 600 on a cold start is interesting to say the least. You need to start it after sitting out in the cold at 20*F overnight. You'd swear it was coming apart than they fuel knock bad at that temp or colder

 

My brother's is like that too. Sounds horrible!

 

Don't take these clowns seriously around here. To me, it sounds like about 850hp at the wheels.

I get all misty-eyed when I hear them idle like that. Reminds me of hearing an old 92 series Detroit tweaked out, or my old zero buttoned Cummins Big Cam I.

Ya. You guys make so much money these days, you don't have to work yer' Prima Donna's when it's below 30* outside. You wrap your Kitties in blankies and tell them stories about Thunder Mountain and the days before dynos.

I was referring to my brothers 5EK on a cold start. It knocks and rattles so bad it sounds like its gonna explode.
