    Roehl fuel purchases sometime are confusing. Fuel purchasing is based on Total miles, Total taxable miles, Taxable gallons consumed, Tax paidgallon (purchase at pump), Tax rate(rate for each jurisdiction for the fuel type reported). All of this gives a tax due/credit earned–Calculate the tax due or credit earned for each jurisdiction by multiplying nettaxable gallons by tax rate. This will be the tax due or credit earned for eachjurisdiction (state).
    Goal is to try to purchase enough fuel in each state to off set miles traveled in the state so there is no taxes owed. As an O/O I usually end up paying some fuel tax each quarter.

    See the general public screams trucks should pay more taxes for the roads. They don't care that they pay up to 3 times on fuel. IFTA, at the pump, and adjustments if needed.
