Update on this.
The reason it was ruled an accident was the tow company said they pulled me out.
Now I need to consider my options because the invoice to schneider shows a tow and my record is being damaged.
Ruled a preventable accident, but it really wasn't.

Update on this.
My errors with the gps and all that aside.
They ruled it a preventable accident because the tow company invoiced them saying I was towed out.
This is a lie. -

Did you need the tow truck driver's help in getting out?
Then yes, you were "towed out".
You have two options. The first is to learn from this mistake, keep your nose clean for 6 months to a year, then reevaluate what you'd like to do. The second is to try and find a new job and explain this incident. -
Your record is damaged because you screwed up, and Schneider isn't helping you because you refuse to admit you are the only one that caused this issue.
It's not the gps fault. It's not the tow company fault. It's the fault of the person (you) that didn't read signs and then was too scared to back out of the area you drove forward into.
Man up and figure out what you did wrong. Only once you do that can you move forward.Last edited: Mar 1, 2023

This i disagree with. A tow would imply he hooked up to my vehicle and pulled me out. Which he did not do.
Im not leaving the job but when the time comes where i need to explain this I will say the tow company lied bc they did not tow me.
Otherwise I dont think its a big deal but . Will be trying to investigate this further -
No you got this wrong, a hook up is not needed. Here is the problem. you had use a tow service, that encompasses a bunch of services other than a hook up. Just jumping a truck is one of many. Guiding a truck is another.
I get these bills weekly, it does not detail what is done unless I tell the driver when they call to get them to detail their bill.Mauriciojar1 Thanks this. -
@ZVar 's Avatar has nothing to do with his comment. He is telling you exactly what a safety person would tell you. In this business, you get dinged you learn from it and move on. For old fossil butts like me, it is a bit disconcerting to see you fighting this. Even if you are right it is not going to change the record. Because a tow was called out they dinged you. Move on past it. Learn from it. Even if you did nothing wrong it is not going to change the here and now. If I may be so bold I think this was what Zvar was attempting to tell you. That's all you needed to say when they brought you in for the post incident review. The safety critter would have shook your hand and told you to have a nice day.
If you start playing semantic games of "yeah, the tow truck driver helped me but he didn't actually hook on so it's not a tow so it shouldn't be on my record" you sound like a guy who won't take responsibility for his actions and one that doesn't learn.
