Also of note: if any large company should turn you down due to negative references on your DAC, you can request a copy of what they got, some even do it for free. J.B. Hunt Transport does send you a free copy of your DAC Report if you are declined from a position. And I should know, I work there!

I will watch my dac, there is nothing that a lawyer can do for me. Pa is like 44 other states in this country, it is an at will state, you can be fired, forced to quit, and harrassed by your employer, and you have no rights. This at will stuff started in the 60's when the unions started losing their power. I would bet Hoffa is turning in his grave, because all of the great things that he fought for have been lost. You, me, and all other citizens in this country are losing more, and more rights everyday. All in the name of 9/11 now. This country is getting more socialistic all of the time. The police can do what they want, when they want, and us little peons have no say at all. WHEN YOU VOTE, REMEMBER THESE EXAMPLES!!!

I am thinking about JB, they offered me a job, running out of Bowling Green, KY on the midwest regional. How are they to work for. I like them because their insurance looks good. Pay seems good too.

Not enough room to turn around inside the oil drum they put him in before sending it to the crusher. Jimmy hasn't moved in a long while.

Keep looking Shaggy--JB won't be any better than what you came from--I used to live in Russell Springs down the road from you in Columbia--there is a private operation in Casey County you could check out--Tarter Gate Company--they run farm equipment out west, and have local runs--ask for Keith Tarter--if they aren't hiring, try Averitt Express I ran for them out of their Corbin terminal--fairly good outfit with GREAT medical benefits..good luck on your search!

    Good Grief Shaggy10!
Sounds like you've been put through the mill.
    Big question here now is,.........
    are you learning anything?
    That's important.

Life just dealt you a load of lemons.
    Time to make lemon-ade?

It's good that you're relating your story here. It's a way to "vent" and inform others of a potential red-flag trucking company. But, if I may be so bold, I'd like to ask you IF you had it to do all over again,......would you have done some things differently?

    Example?
I think you made at least an "error", not to say you did the wrong thing, when you dropped a dime to the local PD.
The company "guard" is most likely well associated with the boys at the station. Many "guards" are moonlighting sworn officers. Some are wannabees who couldn't pass the tests, and they sometimes are related to SOMEone on the "force".
In your situation, who's word do you reckon the responding officers took?

And, if that company is as you say it is, I'd think what went down with you just might be a common thing. Officers might have that "nip-it-in-the-bud" mentality. They probably get calls like that often. Probably with the same type response.
    Hey!
    It works!
    No?

Consider this, ......at some point you're going to have to make a decision about whatcher gonna do about all this.
    How much CAN you do?
How much are you WILLING to do?
    And at what cost?
Don't be afraid to cut bait.
It just might be your better choice.

    Keep us informed?!
    Good Luck!

I thank- you for that info. I do realize that I made mistakes in that situation. I do think that you are right and should cut my losses, as I have researched the laws, and there is nothing that I can do. I have already had more repercussions than I can stand. This was a good company when I was running dedicated. I believe that YRC is changing a lot of things. Maybe when it all gets straightened out, they may be good again. I believe that I need to move on. If anyone knows of a good company that will run me hard sun aft thru fri night so I can be home on the wknd, plz let me know. I do have a felony on my record and have 3 yrs otr experience. I have 1 speeding ticket and 1 minor accident. Both are over 1 yr old. Thx

Shaggy call internal affairs on the cops. Sue the company for sexual harassment. The headlines alone will be worth the cost of the lawyer. But in all honesty, if a company is telling you to look for another place to work, start looking.
