Don't believe all the stories about how much a kpra violation is. My ticket was $137.

Have you already arranged the t-call?
If not, don't get too hopeful. All of CA is short on freight with way too much time on the loads, and the L.A. area is the worst area in the country on the bubble map.

Simple. If it were me, I'd back up to the dock, whereupon they'll either fix it or I'm grabbing a pallet jack and yanking one pallet off, and THEN run the load.

Any time you T-call a load you MUST have a CAT scale ticket that shows legal weights. No legal ticket, no T-call.

Good luck getting the T-call done in Jurupa Valley. I strongly recommend you start calling your DM Monday morning to start arranging that. Often I was able to T-call a load, but the planners like to leave some "miles on the bone" and may want you to T-call the load farther away.

I have a son who lives maybe 30 minutes from Jarupa. Go Go Gadget home time request.

I'll get the load off of me one way or another. Either the company will take it off of me, I'll arrange delivery with the consignee myself ahead of schedule, or I'll go see my son and leave their beer sitting at the terminal.

    Knucklehead and Lepton1 Thank this.

I frequently would call receivers to arrange early delivery in this situation. Usually I could get an earlier appointment. Sometimes not. As soon as I have an earlier appointment I would update my status with Mac-34 IIRC, noting I had contacted the receiver with an approved earlier appointment. Always keep planning in the loop.

I was based out of Jurupa Valley when I was with Swift. I have nothing but good things to say about the DM's and management in that terminal.

I made a habit of giving a generous tip to the good folks in the truck wash there. I can't recall any other terminal that did hand wash. Hard working team there.

I'm just curious why anyone would run any load that doesn't conform to the laws?

Why is this even a question?
