the majority of the year i don't idle much. after i find my parking spot for the night i shut the truck off watch tv or do stuff on my laptop or whatever else im going to do till im going to go to bed. then when im getting near that time that i am going to go to bed ill start the truck up for 20 mins or so to re-charge the battery's and pre-heat/cool the cab shut it off and go to bed. i leave a fair bit of electrical load going all night fridge a lot of times ill go to sleep watching a dvd, in cool weather i use a electric blanket. only once have i ever needed a jump start and that was because one of my batterys had gone bad.

That's pretty much how I roll. My fridge and cpap never drained the batteries below starting capability unless I had a bad battery.

My inverter control panel shows the input voltage. Right now it's 12.8 volts. Usually after a 10-12 hr break it might read 12.3-5. I think if it drops below 12.1 it automatically shuts down.
