I don't remember a blessed sign much. I guess You use 511, and i think if you have enough data on your phone you a coutd work out a forecast taking into account your tractor's abilities and your own health.

They'll have an overhead sign before Cheyenne and before Laramie but their FULL website is very comprehensive. Much more so than their mobile apps

I'm no big expert on Donner but I spent five years pulling three loads a day from Truckee to Sacramento. After a while you get used to it.

I run 80 a lot.. Came across Wyoming on Wednesday, three trucks blowed over on there sides from the wind.. I had 15,000 in the box and it felt like flying a 53' kite all day.. Just slow down and take your time and you will be fine..
going threw Utah is pretty quick, and they know how to move snow, usally no issues..
Nevada, this an interesting state.. They have a few grades that you might have to chain on if you catch a winter storm.. By the way right befor you come to Nevada, there is a small truck stop right before the scale, I usally too of with fuel here with cheap fuel.. I fuel there and that usally gets me into and back out of California..
If you like to stop at Walmart there is a good one in Winnemucca, NV up the hill from the Flying J... there's also a large amounts of other type of entertainment I usually see trucks filling the parking lots at as will in Winnemucca.. lol
As far as Donner Summit goes It's really for the most part not that bad.. You will have to stop at an scale followed by agriculture inspection station, usally no big deal.. you might want eat in Reno before heading to California, not a lot of places to pull into, until Sacramento.. Good luck, stay safe!!Just passing by and Boattlebot Thank this.
