    The drive across tehachapi and the California desert is nice if you haven't done that. I'd go across 40 to Amarillo then Dallas as opposed to via San Bernadino and Phoenix.

    Stop at the Big Texan in Amarillo so you can cross that off your todo list.

    Socal is nothing new neither is the 10.

    I was thinking of running 5 to 10 and catching 20 at the split.

    Altho they want me to pick up today... I don't think that's happening. Hours are low

    Dole in atwater near modesto. I'm right off 99 so I'm thinking run that and I should be able to catch the 10 in Barstow instead of running into la just to make a left haha
    Theysuckered me into picking up this #### load today. Thankfully they will let me park in a dirt patch they got. Trying to find parking in California scares the absolute #### out of me. There is none.

    You wouldn't pick up 10 until Ontario you would pick up 15 and Barstow and run at South. I gotta tell you though that is a long way on around, you're adding probably in the neighborhood at 300 miles for the trip. More importantly that's eating time off your clock you can't use on the next load.

    As the other guy said 40 to Amarillo then 287 to Dallas, well actually to Fort Worth, and end 20 from there is a better choice, but depending where you are going, Atlanta or north Georgia for example, I would say on 40 to Memphis, then take us 78 which is being converted to Interstate 22 run on over and pick up 75 near Chattanooga and straight down into Georgia that way. Now that's just off the top of my head but I think that is probably less miles even than the Amarillo route.

    Actually I believe I'm talking about us 72 not 78 78 goes further south if I recall.

    Yea I made an error, I'd pick up 40 in barstow. Run 99 to 58 then run 40. I'm heading to basically Atlanta it's on 20 where I'm dropping so Memphis is probably the better bet like your saying. But use 22 and drop onto the 20 that way

    Sometimes it just helps to look at a map ya know?

    And I'm gunna have to do a 34 somewhere along the way I think I'm down to 8 hours and don't gain till 2 days from now
