There is no yard, just an office down in Wildomar near Riverside. There's a drop yard near Fontana that we used to swap trailers out. But that's about it

I'm pretty sure there are only the 4 terminals comma Farmington, Wilmington Delaware, Hickory, and Eau Claire Wisconsin.

Wyoroads.info is a good site to use to give you an idea of what's going on in Wyoming. Just choose the I-80 section and scroll through for any closures or warnings. I just ran across 80 and there were a couple wind warnings, but the roads were totally clear of any snow. If I've got under 25k, I'll pull over and wait it out. Even at 40k, there have been gusts that push the trailer pretty good. Just drive a bit slower and you should be fine.

Don't worry too much about Donner unless it's snowing. Thousands of trucks come down that hill every week with no problem.
As you start down off the top there will be signs advising you of recomended speed. They're a good guide. If the snow has the signs covered up just use your best judgement and watch how the other guys do it.
It's not a constant downhill, more of a series of downgrades and plateaus. The mistake most newbies make is using up too much brake at the beginning of the hill.
Just drift off nice and easy and use your jake. After you get used to the hill you can run down a little faster but for your first time down take it easy. Nobody will notice or care if you take some extra time coming off the hill but if you burn up a set of brakes, have to take the run-out , or crash they'll remember you for a long time.
Be sure to stop at the mandatory brake check area on top of Blue Canyon.
Once you get past Baxter you pretty well have it made.scottlav46 and Boattlebot Thank this. -
He'll soon know , like the rest of us, that Wyo is the worst place to be in the lower 48 between Nov and March.

The is no real definition of light weight high profile vehicle in Wyoming. Basically, if you blow over, you were too light and high profile. It can go for anything from a car pulling a trailer to an RV to a semi truck.

I went over 80 in Wyoming last weekend, Saturday to be precise because my dead ### couldn't get up in time to beat the traffic going up to the Mountains on 70... First time through there since last summer I believe.
Just have to pay attention to what you are doing. If you are not comfortable, park and wait.Boattlebot Thanks this.
