it don't matter if your legal or not. the penalties are probably the same. running illegal though. gets you the added bonus of log book.
whatever happens, though, you WILL be told that your not supposed to be there. legal or not.
you stop to take a pee. well, you shoulda been 5 miles ahead. if your doing the speed. well, you were speeding and should be 5 miles back.
it's your fault, no matter what. becuase you aren't where your supposed to be.mje and TwinStickPeterbilt Thank this. -

moral of the story keep the comic book up to date simple. getting creative is nothing more then basic math. look through ur logs if u develop a pattern....STOP! change it up also keep ur average speed for the day around 5 under the average speed limit or governed speed for the truck whichever is more. never keep recipts with time stamps if u save them for taxes hide them. one of our drivers got nailed for a snickers bar recipt that fell out of his pocket when he was getting his D/L to hand to a DOT cop while getting a level 3 in michigan. lastly it's not the dot u have to worry about its the ambulance chasing lawyers oney way or another ur f####d so u might as well make some money at it
mje and TwinStickPeterbilt Thank this. -
Also.The LESS paper trail,the better....
TwinStickPeterbilt and mje Thank this. -
Doesn't matter anymore, with cell phones and cameras at weigh stations, highway intersections, etc. if you are involved in a bad accident they will find out if you were supposed to be there or not, paper trail doesn't mean a thing anymore.
mje Thanks this. -
