Now I cannot believe this ####. This ########## wants me to sign a "lease agreement." I don't really have to pay for the lease, it is just on paper. To keep me from being an employee. But I will be making even less money. Less than what we agreed on in the first place. And that I am responsible for any damage to the truck, property damage, death or injury, no matter who is driving the truck. I know alot of you folks said this before: I should just quit. But I don't know what to do.
-
I am so sick of this, but at least it is a job. I want a new boss. I have quit running illegal. I am always 100% legal at all times, no matter what. If his load is 1 day late, so be it. I now take my time. I eat at the buffets, and shop around in the truck stops. I feel like if I am an independant contractor, I can do what I want. Accept or refuse loads. Set my own schedule. Decide which rates I will or will not accept.

If your avatar comes near me, I will shoot and kill it!

1)Record him on the telephone and write down the qualcomm messages..
2)Log it as you run... literally (if you drove 17 hrs...SHOW IT)
3)Turn in the logs showing exactly how you ran it
4)Contact the DOT they will handle it from there -
Here is my quandry: I am not going to sign their lease in the present condition, under any circumstances. I need to figure out if they will accept my modifications.
I think I am going to quit, but I want to go out in the biggest possible way. People like this should not be in business, and I intend to do anything legally to see that they are not.
I do not have any of my old logs showing that I ran illegal, I don't think. I will look and see.
I want to ruin their ISS-D rating. -
I just skimmed thru this didnt read all 16 pages but a few things If there already said ignor the post
1. why does it take you 3-4 hours per stop? i drive a parking lot as well and do 9 stops 9 drops and each stop is about 15-20minutes
2. You may are might not know this ( I didnt when I first drove a parking lot) If you get it bottomed out reach under the back of the truck and pull the leveling bar one way or the other and you will see the truck/trailer raise and lower you can manually over inflate the bags this way it will get you unstuck 90% of the time .
I live about 20 minutes from the loves in jackson its a real ....... hole lol
Far as turning someone in that wants you to run illegal There are some on both sides of the fence Me personally I would be careful about this as he could ruin your dac and a few other things and you could be out of the trucking game.Id never personally do it if i didnt like it Id leave ill never help the dot do #### they never helped me.
My son inlaw has the same problems he logs the stops the way they are and is always out of hours but he pulls a refer I told him to rem the log is your paycheck Learn to make the most of it.
This says you been driving less then a year? Id agree with some of the other posters maybe this is not the gig for you.
Also what kind of parking lot do you drive if you drive a daycab I can see the motel cost but that should be up to your boss to pay not you.

LOL!
I was in a coop about a year ago, and this old timer comes in throws his log and paperwork up on the desk. A young DOT guy starts lookin' at it, and the old codger asks the DOT officer, what's the matter? Didn't I lie good enough? Then, the old trucker proceeds to tell the young DOT guy that log books just FORCE us all to lie and we ALL do it. Then states that he has been trucking for over 40 years and challenges the young DOT guy to find something in his paperwork that calls him a liar.
I and another driver are standing there with our mouths open NOT believing what we are hearing. That poor DOT guy doesn't know if he should laugh, cry, or run and hide. It was classic, I talked to the old codger outside and found he was from Michigan.
Any chance your the same guy Joe Trucker? -
You guys do realize the 'Black Box' is just right around the corner...
It most likely would be here already except its approval got caught
between the change of administration during the last election.
When the Box comes out...these companies will no longer be able to hide
from the Law and pressure and coerce their employees into literally
becoming felons and doing the dirty work for them .
These crooked companies days are numbered...I myself...am gonna love to watch them fallphotolurp2 Thanks this. -
I would not sigh this lease in any way, shape, or form,.....I think it's time you start looking for another avenue of employment,.............photolurp2 Thanks this.
