Background criminal investigation. Is clean. One copy goes to the court.
The military can't find it. Supposedly the Cia can't either. I used to work with a guy who's ex wife married Cia.
So the only record remaining. Lifetime mvr.

If you want to run up here, and are not sure if something in your past will prevent you, spend the 50 bucks and apply for a fast card. You have to be approved by both countries to get in the program. Best case, you get your fast card. Worse case you spent 50 bucks to find out your not eligible.
Another Canadian driver, '88K100, Accidental Trucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
Don’t know what you mean, all I know is when it is put into the system, it stays in the system. The records are not purged or cleaned,
I use an investigator who finds these the records for applicants, even indicated sealed records are somewhere unsealed. Many seem to think there is this master database where only one set of records are kept but that’s not the case,
by the way the fbi has better access than the cia and the dia and nsa has even better access than the fbi.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
It depends on which cycle you are running on. I use cycle 1 which is 24hr off duty every 7 days.
Many times in the past I have just stuck to USA HOS when in Canada. This is when I ran on recaps and couldn't get the 24hr off duty. I've been inspected by MTO and Controle Routier and neither of them seemed to care much about which clock I was running on. Of course this is anecdotal and not all officers are the same.
Nowadays, I usually get a reset in every week so I can run on Canadian HOS which means I get 13hrs drive time and don't have to stop for a 30min break.
The big thing to watch out for is speed. By law commercial trucks have to be limited to 65mph, so don't go faster than that or you will be easy pickings. They get to write a big fat ticket to the company for "defective equipment" so they have a keen eye open for foreign trucks which they know are unlikely to be limited to 65.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Speed limiters don't apply to western Canada. That is unless something has changed recently.
Another Canadian driver and Redtwin Thank this. -
Good point. I should have stated that my info is for Ontario and Quebec which are the only provinces I run in.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Yes but our 70 is over 7 not 8 days. So you get to your recap a lot quicker, so every 2 weeks you have to have a day off. That's how they get day 8 back. With 13hrs a day driving you can run thru your 70 quickly. And no stupid 30 minute break. Also, our split sleeper is easier. Take 8, take 2 more sometime thru the day, in at least 30 minute Increments, and you have your 10 off. You can even defer the 2 hrs ahead a day. A lot easier than the us. And no mandatory 30 min break, THATS the dumbest rule in trucking.Last edited: Feb 26, 2023

The entire hos is the dumbest rule in trucking. We had a system that worked perfectly fine for 75 years. Then they screw it all up.
