I apologize to anybody that was offended by the 'black sun' avatar I had up previously. I had no idea what the meaning of that symbol was I just thought it looked cool and harmless

I don't understand why shippers give their load to 20 brokers simultaneously
I am wading through 20 posts, when I call its all the same load
but it doesn't look like it because weight varies

Honestly it is going to be tough trying to start under your own authority with such a small scope/mile radius. Not to say it's impossible, but I would definitely agree with HopeoverMope that if you are going to have a limited mile radius like that, it's best to have some direct contacts in place. Searching load boards for that range and trying to find any decent load value will be very tough. Also worth noting.. location is a major factor as well

They start with cheapest and then move up in price as it get closer to move date or hot as they say.
