    How do I get my own plates if I don’t have my own MC? I need IRP plates to run interstate - I have my own USDOT but MCcis not active as I’ve never set up insurance etc. I’m happy to lease on to another company but would really like my own plates (have my own physical and non-trucking liability )

    You apply for your plates via your state IRP office. Your state website should list the requirements. Can do the same with IFTA.
