When things are busier and rates are a little stronger, i have found some of your better paying loads come from some of the big carriers. Right now things are a bit down all over. If someone has a load with a good rate posted, you can bet another broker will scarf it up and post it for less. It takes awhile but once you become established with a few good connections it gets easier.

Every time I ever found one it was the hard way. Just in the right place at the right time. It really doesn't take much to set yourself apart as far as service is concerned. Something I have noticed about the times anyone ever gave me a good contact. Nothing ever really came of it. Circumstance is everything. You don't call these people up and ask for anything. Doesn't work that way. When they need you they will call you.

I have gotten very good rates in the past from US Xpress, Epes, Schneider to name a few. Use to get some good ones from Landstar but not in a quite awhile.WomanInTrucking Thanks this.

What kind of work do you do? If you have a step deck there is some paying freight out of Marietta ga. But only till December. Other then that I have no clue for your area.

Dry van. based out of atlanta.

Dry van will be very difficult until florida produce starts rolling. Everyone and there mom will be coming up into ga for backhauls. I know I will.
