This is annoying. The reefer is on start stop and whenever the reefer turns off, the green status light turns off

Mine the wire is loose, so I get a random green flashing light. Reefer disco.

I'll check that next time I stop.

So I checked that wire while checking reefer temps. There is a short in the wire. I actually managed to isolate the section of wire that is bad. I could fix it myself as I have everything needed to do so; just not sure if I want to.

Washington State's new distracted driving law took effect last week you cannot text of course you can sip a drink but you cannot eat while driving. You're liable to get pulled over and fined.

Wonderful stuff. At least they can't mind read yet because I find my biggest distraction on the road is in my own mind. As this is where I'm heading next, this is very pertinent info. At least we can sip coffee.

It's not that I'm for texting and driving it's that I often wonder how far they will eventually push these things once the gates are open. I'm perfectly capable of doing certain kinds of multitasking while driving.

I want to clarify this isn't just for semi trucks this is for everybody.

And yeah being in my own head has caused many a missed turn.

FYI JCT is doing away with the tire alignment bay. Going to open the area up for a 3rd trailer bay since the are always short room for trailers.
So if you wanted to get alignment stuff here make other plans. lol

Not much of a loss I don't think...I got an alignment after I got my steers...and now the truck pulls pretty decently to the right....

Pulled into the TA in Moriarty, NM to get another side marker light for the trailer. It had burned out. Naturally, I had an odd ball light. 3 prong male connector on the light. The shop shop didn't have one. So, I bought a standard light and wire harness and wired it my self in 5 min. I'll send the receipts for reimbursement and it saved me a 2 hour wait and saves JCT $100/hr labor fee.

While I putting the light in; another driver asked me if I wire up his light on the trailer. I said sure, $50 and I will teach you how to do it. He didn't like the $50 price. I told him the shop is going to charge you $100/hr and won't teach you. He took the deal. Pays to know how to do things outside of driving the truck.
