Example, my current phone brand new no contract was 249.99 Moto G5 Plus. Works on all carriers, used it on Verizon and Now ATT. Last phone was 449 no contract Moto X Pure. Used it on Sprint, Cricket, Verizon and ATT.

Now my stupid self is staring at the Pixel 2.....

I like the pixel2 as well but it's like the new iPhones. No audio jack. And that really pisses me off. Since I us the audio jack during all my awake hours. lol
Just don't get this rush to dump old tech for the sake of what?...

I don't mind it as I link my phone via Bluetooth to my stereo now anyways. I hardly use the actual headphone jack. At least the Pixel comes with an adapter for headphones. Downside is you cant charge it at the same time.

I'm leaning on it because its also one of the first fully unlocked phones that ATT almost fully supports, so I can get VoIP, HD calling and the other stuff. My Pure and my G5+ don't get that. And its reall annoying to be in a full LTE area, but sketchy 3G area, and not be able to keep a phone call. And with more and more frequency being farmed out for LTE, its only going to get worse. That and I haven't had a flagship phone since my HTC One M8. I think I'm due.

My RM 740 hasn't fallen off the magnetic mount a single time. Now, the windshield suction cup........let's just say I threw that away and made my own dash mount within the first few hours because it kept falling off.

Mine kept falling off. A thin layer of silicone on the cup then put back on the windshield and it's been solid for more than 8 months lol.

Here's an example of my Rand frustration...

    IMG_20180429_065023.jpg
Normal route, Lemoore to Salina. But you see that red Dot on i70 in Colorado?

    IMG_20180429_065051.jpg
Yep that's my avoid box being totally ignored... And if you're thinking *maybe it's a bug with the avoid boxes.."

    IMG_20180429_065141.jpg

I had the whole state set as avoid to force the routing and it still ignored it.... Had to set a via in Tucumcari to get it to route away.
